(Torres bloodied and beaten at WEC 47.)
WEC 47: Bowles vs. Cruz was a mixed bag. The WEC made it’s first stop in Columbus but it may have marked lightweight pioneer Jen Pulver’s final trip to the cage. Dominic Cruz became a star by taking the Bantamweight belt but former champ Miguel Torres’ comeback tour was derailed on its first night. As a service to our loyal readers, FIGHT! has compiled all the news that’s fit to print in one concise, easily digestible post.

Rarely is the insane unpredictability of MMA better illustrated than it was in Columbus. Former-champ Torres looked bad in his loss to Benavidez and Cruz took the title but not in the way anyone thought he would.
