Naughty and Nice

FIGHT! put Strikeforce guest ring girl Jordan Daniele on its Xmas wish list, and we’ve been so good that Santa delivered her to our doorstep exactly as we requested—scantly clad and full of Christmas cheer.

Jordan Daniele

What’s on your Christmas list this year?

Shoes, bikinis, lingerie—sexy stuff. I’ve lived in the Northeast all my life, so I have a huge winter wardrobe, but now that I’ve moved to the West Coast, I need a few things for fun in the sun.

Have you been a good girl?

Hmmm, that depends on your definition [laughing], but probably not.

Your Twitter profile says that you’re into sex, drugs, and rock ’n roll. That sounds pretty naughty.

I think I should edit that [laughing], but that describes me to a T. But let’s go with sex, rock ’n roll, and drugs.

You’re living in Los Angeles these days, but you were born in Pittsburgh. Is it safe to assume that you are a rabid Steelers fan?

I’m a fanatic. I’m still mourning their two losses to the Ravens. All their fans are talking so much shit. We’ve won six Super Bowls. When the Ravens do that, then their fans can talk. I’m not worried about it. We’re gonna handle the Ravens in the playoffs.

If you saw Ben Roethlisberger in a bar, would you go talk to him?

I have seen him, and I have talked to him. He’s not my type. He’s not hard to meet. Most girls I know have had some run-ins with him and the Steelers in the bars in Pittsburgh. That’s just how it goes in Pitt. Most of them are cool guys, but it’s not hard to figure out what they are after.

Besides being accosted by football players, what’s the best thing about growing up in Pittsburgh?

First, Primanti Bros. Restaurant—best sandwich in the world. Second, Pittsburgh has so much town pride. It’s a way of life there, almost like a religion. Every Sunday you wake up, and it’s like, ‘Where are we going to watch the game.’ I chomp at the bit every Sunday.

You’re a self-proclaimed hippie. Tell me about some out your hippie characteristics?

I’ve always loved to create. I was voted Most Artistic in high school because I loved to paint. And modeling is all about creating an image—whatever you’re selling. You become a certain look—sexy, edgy, chic, whatever look you want to convey. That’s the challenge, but I love modeling, and I’m grateful that I get to do it full-time.

Is there a Mr. Hippie in your life?

Yes, I just got engaged.

That’s stupid.

[Lauging] We dated on and off for a few years, and he just moved to L.A. with me. We tried to date other people, but you know you’re in love when you don’t want to live without someone. Life is so much better with him.

Jordan DanieleChange of subject. How did you become a Strikeforce ring girl?

I had worked with Rockstar Energy Drink in the past, and right before I moved to L.A., they asked me to work the Strikeforce event in Cincinnati in September. I turned it down at first because I was in the middle of moving and there was so much stuff going on. I kinda blew it off, but two or three days before the event, I decided to do it. It was such a fantastic experience. I had never even seen an MMA fight, so I had no idea what to expect. It was so intense. I was literally sitting cageside with blood spattering everywhere and the crowd was going nuts. When I saw one of the guys get bashed in the head with a flying knee, I was like, ‘That’s assault, he should go to jail [laughing].’ Now, I’m watching fights all the time. I love it.

Did you get to meet any of the fighters?

Yeah, Luke Rockhold was great. I got to meet him right after he won the title. And I got to meet a bunch of the female fighters. It was so intimidating because any of them could have kicked my ass, but they were all so nice. We all went to Waffle House after the fights. And, I may have a little crush on Jordan Mein. He fought Evangelista Santos, and I was like, ‘Oh, my God. This poor, cute, little white boy is going to get killed by this tattooed monster.’ The next thing I know, Jordan is beating the crap out of him, and I was screaming at the top of my lungs.

If you weren’t a model, what would you be doing?

I’m an animal lover. I may actually love animals more than people [laughing]. I’m not a crazy vegan or anything, but after I get finished modeling, I want to be an animal activist. I have a couple of cats, and I love them to death.

2012 is right around the corner. What are your goals in the upcoming year?

Well, you know, I heard the world is supposed to end in 2012, so my first goal is not to die [laughing]. After that, I really want to go to Miami for a photo shoot and be on the cover of another magazine. I’ve only been modeling since 2009, so I’m going to go balls to the wall in 2012.
