Zuffa’s campaign to win the hearts and minds of New Yorkers continues on Weds., Jan. 19, when UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar (#1 Lightweight) visits the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum to greet fans, sign autographs and promote the upcoming Fight For the Troops 2 from 11 a.m. to noon.

Edgar most recently defended his belt in a draw with Gray Maynard (#2 Lightweight) at UFC 125: Resolution. The two will fight for a third time at UFC 130 later this year. The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is housed in and around the USS Intrepid, a decommissioned U.S. Navy aircraft carrier that served in World War II, the Vietnam War, and throughout the Cold War, located at Hudson River Park Pier 86 in Manhattan. Fight for the Troops 2 is the UFC’s second event designed to raise money for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.

Fight For the Troops 2 will air live on Spike TV from Fort Hood, Tex. at 9 p.m. on Jan. 22. The televised card features Evan Dunham (#19 Lightweight) vs. Melvin Guillard (#16), Matt Mitrione (#25 Heavyweight) vs. Tim Hague (#88), Pat Barry (#58 Heavyweight) vs. Joey Beltran (#46), and Mark Hominick (#15 Featherweight) vs. George Roop (# 29).
