FIGHT! Bonuses

The opening bout of WEC 46 between Will Campuzano and Coty Wheeler earned “Fight of the Night” honors. “Submission of the Night” went to Urijah Faber’s third round rear-naked choke over Rafael Assuncao in the co-main event. Each winner was awarded $10,000.

Attendance & Gate

WEC 46 had an announced attendance of 10,027 fans at Arco Arena, totaling a live gate of $550,000.

Random Bits

WEC General Manager Reed Harris confirmed Urijah Faber will challenge WEC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo.

“I respect Urijah [Faber], but no one will take my belt,” said WEC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo. Faber responded by saying he feels it’s still his title.

Mike Thomas Brown, a mutual opponent of Faber and Aldo, deferred predicting a winner: “I gamble and I lose a lot so you don’t want my prediction.” He continued, “I just want front row seats to it.”

Jon Jones will meet Brandon Vera in the main event of UFC’s March 21 debut on Versus, home of the WEC.
