The title bouts were all hard fought, but the three Brits prevailed in exciting encounters against international opposition. Tom Watson was nearly a victim of Matt Horwich’s submission prowess but his grit saw him through and he took the nod after five rounds. Mark Adams also went the distance with Alan Omer, with his takedowns and methodical ground and pound earning him the victory. Rob Sinclair stopped Daniel Weichel with strikes in the first to retain his lightweight belt.

Knockout of the Night – Ash Grimshaw

After the back and forth between the combatants prior to the fight, it was always expected to be a fiery encounter and, after losing the first round, Grimshaw fired into action with a huge left hook that dropped Paul Reed to the mat in the second. His follow up shots were right on the mark and the ref stepped in to stop the onslaught as Reed was out.

Submission of the Night – Jeff Lawson

Although War Machine’s slick Rear Naked Choke of Zach Light was impressive, the ease with which Jeff Lawson submitted a talented grappler in Dave Lee was astounding. Known for his arm locks, the Armbar seemed inevitable as soon as Lee gave the former TUF star an opening. It bounces Lawson up the rankings and keeps him 100% as a featherweight.

Fight of the Night – Carl Noon vs. Mike Ling

Although it only lasted three and a half minutes, it was a back and forth encounter in which both men had success. Although Ling’s striking looked more crisp, Noon’s heavy hands and haymakers often found their mark and led to the submission win.
