Sweet Treat
Sierra Rene knows how to make Cleveland rock. The 22-year-old is gearing up for Halloween, but it’s all treats and no tricks with this black-haired beauty.
Did you have fun on your photo shoot?
It was great, but I didn’t get to go to the gym for a week beforehand, because I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed. I didn’t get to eat much for a week, either, so maybe it all worked out [laughing]. And I got to skip school for a day.
Where do you go to school?
Kent State, right outside Cleveland, Ohio, where I live.
Tell me three good things about living in Cleveland?
One, it’s like a small town and a big city. You know everyone, so it’s comforting, but there’s plenty to do. Two, it’s only one hour away from my family. Three, it’s on the lake, and I have to be by the water.
What are you studying at Kent State?
Architectural engineering.
How did that pique your interest?
My dad has his own construction company, so I’ve been playing with tools and wood since I was in diapers. The degree is something to fall back on when I’m finished modeling.
What would you like to design?
Well, I love to shop and I love art, so I thought I’d combine my passions and design a famous mall, with waterfalls and all sorts of artsy stuff.
Looks like you have some skin art?
Two tattoos. There’re both in Greek. The one on my back is a Christian Dior quote that says, “Happiness is the secret to all beauty.” And I’ve got one behind my ear that says, “Sisters.” My younger sister has a matching one. But those are my last tattoos.
Is your family heritage Greek?
Greek and Italian.
Who makes better food?
I’m gonna have to go with the Greeks. I love lamb, olives, feta cheese, lemon, and rosemary.
Can you whip up some Greek dishes?
Yeah, I love to cook. I make a mean lemon-pepper salmon and avocado salad with red potatoes. But I cook what I feel. I’m spontaneous.
What’s your most recent act of spontaneity?
Actually, this is pretty funny. I decided to go skydiving. I got up in the plane, they opened the door, and I looked out. No way! I decided there was no way I was jumping out. So, I spontaneously decided against it.
Halloween is right around the corner. Are you going to spontaneously pick a costume the night of?
Ya know, I’m not sure yet. In the past, my friends and I have done a theme. Last year, we were superheroes, and I was Wonder Woman. This year, we’re talking about going as the cast of Clueless or maybe Disney princesses. Who knows what we’ll decide. Wonder Woman was a lot of fun.
How does Wonder Woman stay in such good shape?
I hit the gym on most days. I do the elliptical, stairclimber, and treadmill for 30 minutes each. I also do a weight circuit, and I love hot yoga.
Have you ever done any martial arts?
Not since kindergarten. But I’m a big MMA fan. I’ve done ring girl work for a few different promotions. And I get together with my friends and watch the UFC pay-per-views. I’d love to be a UFC ring girl.
Who’s your favorite fighter?
Anderson Silva. He’s just so good, so amazing. He knocks everyone out.
How do you knock out the guys?
My eyes are my best feature.
Do you have a boyfriend?
Not at the moment.
How would a guy impress you?
He has to be down to earth and funny. And, he has to like being in shape. But no cocky guys. Last week, I was walking down the street, and this guy on a motorcycle starts staring at me. Then he lowers his sunglasses to get a better look and gives me this creeper glare. It was truly pathetic.
Maybe his eyes were his best feature and he wanted you to appreciate them?
[Laughing] Creeper eyes are never a best feature.
