Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic will cap his combat career at K-1 Final Fight in Zagreb, Croatia, on March 10. The former PRIDE Grand Prix Openweight Champion will take on fellow fight legend Ray Sefo in a kickboxing match.
CAGE WARRIORS FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP
Cage Warriors Fighting Championship has a busy international travel schedule this month, with CW Fight Night 3 on Feb. 2 in Amman, Lebanon; CW 45 on Feb. 18 in London, England; and CW 46 on Feb. 25 in Ukraine. Former UFC lightweight Kyle Watson will be in action, and the quarterfinals of the CW eight-man middleweight tournament will get underway. The events will be broadcast on Sky Sports.
FLYWEIGHT WALKABOUT
Returning to The Land Down Under for the third time, UFC on FX 2 takes place March 3 at Allphones Arena in Sydney, Australia. The Aussies will get the first peek at the little blokes, as the UFC launches its four-man flyweight tournament.
LAW ABIDING
The town hall of São Paulo, the largest city in Brazil, approved Law 555, adding MMA Day to the city’s calendar. MMA Day will be celebrated annually on June 16 in the metropolis.
SIGNS OF AGGRESSION
