The WEC card scheduled for Sept. 2 at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, Ohio has been postponed until Oct. 10 at an as-yet-to-be-determined venue. According to WEC.tv, an injury to main event fighter Benson Henderson is to blame for the rescheduling. Coincidentally, the fight was scheduled to take place days after Versus’ contract with DirectTV expires. Talks between the network and the satellite provider recently broke down over the issue of Versus’ rate hike. The loss of DirectTV’s audience will put a serious dent in Versus’, and ultimately the WEC’s, viewership.
