The UFC handed out $40,000 bonuses on Sunday night; Takanori Gomi took home a check for Knockout of the Night, Charles Oliveira secured Submission of the Night, and Brian Stann and Mike Massenzio each scored extra scratch for Fight of the Night.

Announced attendance at the San Diego Sports Arena was 8,132 for a live gate of $489,685. UFC on Versus 2: Jones vs. Matyushenko was the first UFC event in San Diego open to the public; the promotion visited Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in 2006.

We were surprised by Stann’s imrovement from his back as well as Gomi’s return to form – FIGHT!’s record now stands at 70-40 in 2010.
