The UFC, in conjunction with Findlay Customs and Modern Muscle, recently announced the release of 10 Limited Edition UFC Chevrolet Camaros. The very first car, “#1,” will be revealed at this year’s UFC Fan Expo that will take place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV on May 28-29. On June 26, the vehicle will be auctioned off at Barrett Jackson’s in Orange County, Calif., with proceeds being donated to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, a charity dedicated to providing financial support for the dependents of United States military personnel lost in performance of their duty.

FIGHT! recently caught up with Adam Bonaldi and Travis White (Vice President and President of Findlay Customs and its spinoff company Modern Muscle) to get a sneak peak and discuss the details surrounding the custom Camaros.

“We presented the idea to Dana White because a lot of people are doing themed cars,” Bonaldi explains regarding the origins of this interesting collaboration, which began back in November of 2009. “I got the impression from Dana White that he was looking to increase the awareness for the brand. The car, modern muscle and fighting seemed to all fit together.”

“We started with five limited edition, big horsepower, fight club interior vehicles,” he continues. “(But) Dana said ‘Let’s do ten. If we’re going to do it, let’s do it right. But I want to donate the first one to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund so we can help that cause and get some great publicity.’”

The Camaros are stuffed full of one-of-a-kind features that are sure to have any car lover drooling. The “#1” is laced with features that include custom UFC Edition three-piece wheels (built by Nutek), custom UFC Edition paint, UFC Fight Glove seats, suede headliner and accents, a JL 2,000 watt complete sound system, B&B Sport Tuned exhaust system, a custom heritage grill and a Kenne Bell liquid cooled supercharger which increases the output to more than 650 horsepower.

As if the winner of the June 26th auction won’t already have a pretty sweet ride, the UFC will also be offering the buyer an unforgettable UFC experience. That experience includes an inaugural drive of the “#1” with UFC President Dana White, backstage VIP access at a UFC event, floor seats to a UFC event, an Octagon hood liner signed by all fighters present at the UFC Fan Expo, an autographed limited-edition copy of the UFC photo book OCTAGON, UFC gear and other surprises.

This won’t be the first time that the UFC has worked with Findlay Customs, the two entities have collaborated in the past on a number of projects both personal and for business.

“We’ve been building (Dana White’s) personal cars and cars for The Ultimate Fighter reality series coaches every season,” White says of Findlay and the UFC’s relationship.

“We fixed Dana’s Ferrari when he wrecked it,” Bonaldi jokingly adds. “We’ve also done work on Lorenzo Fertitta’s Dodge Challenger, his Smart car (as well as) all of their interiors and stereos.”

White adds that the “#2” is built will also be available soon while “#3 – #10” will be rolled out on a “supply and demand” basis. White explains that this venture will double as the springboard for Findlay Customs newest venture, Modern Muscle.

“We’re actually spinning off our other brand called Modern Muscle Las Vegas,” Bonaldi says while stating that a custom “Spawn” Camaro with 1000HP is currently being wrapped up. “We’re taking modern cars and turning them into muscle vehicles. This is a way to showcase what we do and establish the Modern Muscle outside of the Findlay Customs brand.”

Be sure to check out the “#1,” as well as the FIGHT! Magazine booth, at the UFC Fan Expo which takes place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas on May 28-29.
