Would much rather see Weidman-Jacare for the belt over Belfort.
Mousasi's like, wake me up after the 2nd round. Love his stoicism.
And with that, Overeem's UFC dance party should end.
Bungalows about to be thrown
Really looking forward to tonight's UFC Mousasi-Jacare fight. Two apex predators IMO. Bellator's Curran-Pitbull II is no joke either.
Good luck with it RT
Just got done taping the debut edition of The MMA Insiders Podcast! Will be out shortly after 1 PM ET.
Quick ending for UFC 177 opener means UFC has two more fights to wedge into the next 100 minutes. Should jusssst make it.
LOL. Also, :( RT
So it's official, Renan Barao is out of UFC 177. Joe Soto is now fighting for the UFC bantamweight title.
BREAKING NEWS: Barão out of UFC 177
I heard Cejudo had to go to the hospital today, sounds like another weight-cutting disaster. He has to face it: flyweight ain't for him.
US Olympic gold medal wrestler Henry Cejudo is out of his UFC debut match tomorrow. So that UFC 177 card got worse.
Didn't take long RT
you are finally a UFC fighter!!! Cerrone vs Alvarez #UFC178

.@Forbes says Ronda Rousey just missed the cut of top 10 best paid female athletes. No. 10 was golfer Paula Creamer at $5.5 million.
JUST IN: Jon Jones injured, fight with Daniel Cormier delayed until January 2015 -
My tweet from June about who should fill Chael Sonnen's shoes on the FOX analyst desk.
Just listened to
Lots to be learned whether you're a fan of MMA, wrestling or business.
Meanwhile they gave a license to Belfort who ignored his NAC suspension in 2006 to fight abroad, no penalty. All about the $ & PR, kids.
NAC's Sonnen grandstanding is clown shoes. They knew he was set to participate in Metamoris but didn't bring it up in his hearing.
Just saw the Jones-Cormier dustup. Well, that's not gonna be bad for box office. Long-term though, not a great look.
Anderson Silva vs. Nick Diaz in January. Cool. I hope both are being shrink wrapped in bubble wrap as we speak.
Olympic gold medalist signs to face Scott Jorgensen at UFC 177 RT
The quest for another gold begins now... #UFC
I'm not gonna be around tomorrow night to watch UFC on FOX (going to see Jerry Seinfeld perform) but the main card is excellent.
One more thing: have no doubt Nick Diaz vs. Anderson Silva is the fight that'll happen when both return. Let's hope they bout stay healthy.
I'm glad Nick Diaz got paid. Used the only leverage he had & got his renegotiation on his terms. Good for him.
Start printing the wolf tickets.
NSAC Belfort "stand" was basically, you won't fight until Weidman's ready, & for the title in LV so we can benefit from gate revenues. Joke.
Great story from
on Bobby Green’s harrowing journey to UFC contender. Read it.
Aww man Khabib-Cerrone was DONE. 20 minutes later... Khabib blew out his knee in the gym.
Khabib vs. Cerrone at UFC 178. You like? Good, it's done. Now back to semi-vacation ... #ICantQuitYouMMA
... or even if I'll stay in it, but wanted to thank all of my colleagues over the years & especially you readers for all your support.
I wanted to tell you guys that after 8 years on the relentless MMA merry go round, I'm taking a break. No idea what's next ...

Aldo calls Mendes a "p---y."
Interestingly, the 8 athletes tested during fight week all came back negative, so the EPO was out of his system by UFC 174 fight night.
Bagautinov was tested on 6/2, but results were not back in time for 6/14 fight, according to commissoin.
Bagautinov lost to Demetrious Johnson at UFC 174. That's the second EPO failure in MMA in a few weeks, following Chael Sonnen's.
No. 4 ranked flyweight Ali Bagautinov failed a pre-UFC 174 drug test for EPO, per BC athletic commission, They suspended him 1 year.
Final number... RT
Saturday’s WSOF action on NBC averaged 906,000 viewers – a record for a WSOF telecast.
As you can imagine, WSOF was up against tough competition in World Cup knockout round.
The first numbers I've heard on World Series of Fighting on NBC was a .53 rating, a little over 600,000 watching. Waiting on official #'s.
UFC hasn't held an event at Thomas & Mack since 2003. Both other Vegas indoors arenas are booked for 9/27.
And for whatever it's worth, I heard the Jones-Gus II fight will take place at Thomas & Mack Center in Vegas. That remains unconfirmed.
was first to report Cruz-Mizugaki matchup. UFC confirmed.
Former UFC bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz (fingers crossed) returns on 9/27 Jones-Gus II card, facing Takeya Mizugaki, per UFC.
Is it too late to take the over in this game?
BJ Penn's sad ending doesn't wash away a beautiful career
