Sara McMann: Title fight against Rousey helped save my father’s life
Anyone at a grocery store on the east coast? Oh, everyone's at a grocery store on the east coast. Lines are 15 deep!
Jones-Gustafsson is still the best fight I've witnessed in person so kinda bummed we won't see a rematch, but damn, AJ brings some heat.
Ref: "Fight back Alex." Then he proceeds to let him take about 35 more blows. Jesus Christ man.
As we wait for Rumble to make his bid to fight for the 205-pound belt, remember when he lost to longtime 155er Rich Clementi? What a sport.
Main event time, who you got? I like Gustafsson here. I feel like Rumble has to win early, once we get past Rd 2, his power likely to fade.
I wish Hendo would move on to his next career of starring in remade spaghetti westerns.
Poor Mousasi seems to be snakebit in his UFC career. Even when he wins he gets no props.
I've always liked watching Mousasi fight. I've always liked watching Dan Hendo fight. I hope it adds up to something great.
I don't know if it's his interest in self-preservation that's holding him back or something else but Davis just never really lets it go.
Phil Davis has some great physical tools but at this stage of his career it seems pretty obvious he's never going to be a fluid striker.
The last 3 fights of tonight's UFC on FOX show should be worth your time (I got Davis, Mousasi & Gus). See you then?
Flipping around... BJJ/MMA coach Lloyd Irvin is on tonight's Dateline NBC, case from a couple years ago, he helped catch a killer.
Beginning of the end of Sheldon Silver in NY. And with it, MMA falls out of his noose. As they say, The time is now.
Conor shattered the previous FS1 record, which was held on the channel's kickoff night (Shogun vs. Chael), which drew 1.7 million.
FOX Sports says "UFC Fight Night: All Conor, All the Time" drew in an average of 2.75 million viewers, most on FS1 history.
Adam Cella, who was on televised WSOF main card Sat, made a $1,200 purse. After license fee & fine for missing weight, $835. Yuck.
Conor-Aldo is the new Chael-Anderson. (Minus the wrestling and the PEDs, we hope).
Good job by Conor to create a moment, Aldo on his no-sell & UFC clearly stating what's next. 3-for-3 on promotion.
Even if you think Conor should have fought a wrestler first, don't lie to yourself: Conor vs. Aldo is gonna be a blast.
No question Conor can bang but Aldo's leg kicks are gonna take some steam out of him with a quickness.
So who are the brave souls picking Siver to survive this Irish tidal wave?
Hmmm... Good & close fight but I had Henderson winning there 29-28.
Uriah Hall taking some of his shine time to send a message of peace, love and happiness. I ain't mad at that.
Here's the awful scorecards turned in on Spencer-Pendred fight. Eric Colon & Doug Crosby scored it 30-27 #UFCRobbery
Now it's official!! RT
so Siver has NO chance of winning a decision in Boston....
Spencer beat Pendred just about as bad as the Patriots beat the Colts tonight. Joke decision. Terrible.
Pendred simply lacks fluidity as an athlete & striker. Of course getting his bell rung early could be slowing him down too.
I'm supposed to believe Bill Belichick is a genius when he has Brady and Gronkowski still in under these crappy weather conditions?!
Doomsday's thrown hands with some bangers & survived so that tells you what kind of power Larkin has. Hopefully 170's a new start for him.
Rogan flip-flopped a little bit on whether that was a tap or not. I definitely think it was, Soriano was playing the game.
No, Marshawn Lynch, you are incorrect. Twitter told me this game was over 20 minutes ago.
Ridiculous court sense. RT
Steph Curry is playing a different game than everyone else
Not listening to Aldo Q&A but sounds like Boston isn't exactly a hospitable host. That's a shame. Aldo is an underrated treasure of fighting
.@davedoylemma Diaz's call w/GSP is the all-time tour de force. Pamper yourself the f#%* out. Lodi soccer mom. Superhero with anti-BS, etc.
Most memorable thing he's ever said! RT
GSP regrets famous 'I'm not impressed by your performance' line
I'm no lawyer, but people sue for lesser situations all the time. I doubt he'd want to drag it out though. Just making a point.
If Jones wanted, he may have a legal case: gross negligence led to release of private info that damaged his brand, earnings capacity, etc.
The thing is, there are never any consequences for NSAC screwing up, which they seem to do plenty.
NSAC owes fighters a lot more clarity about what they are doing because it often seems they're making it up on the fly.
Remember that time GSP took heat for grilling NSAC about random drug testing procedures? Jones incident shows he was smart to do it.
Only Anderson Silva, Vitor Belfort, Big Nog, Georges St-Pierre, and Junior dos Santos have passed 1 million.
Small silver lining to his week,
just passed 1 million followers. First American MMA fighter to pass that number.
Well played! RT
White: Anderson Silva will get title shot if he beats Diaz.
Dana White: Because of the contract, they couldn’t cancel the fight. “He has a right to fight."
So to recap, we can't trust the NSAC to test properly, UFC to divulge, and the lab to properly report results. Wonderful. MMA, y'all.
.@arielhelwani reports that Bob Bennett told him THE LAB screwed up the heading and no street drugs were tested on 12/18. Unreal.
They could have revoked his license before fight. Of course they were never gonna risk their $ cut. Next time they'll act like tough guys.
NSAC says it reserves right to question Jones on drug test in future, completely abandoning reality they didn't bother to before UFC 182.
It's all on the lab paperwork. This is a damn circus. This isn't a slam at Jones in anyway. I hope Jon gets his life together.
