FIGHT! Rankings

At FIGHT! Magazine, we believe there is a need for a completely objective and unbiased ranking system for fighters to replace the myriad subjective rankings that have become skewed, in many instances, by fighter popularity. In an effort to address this issue FIGHT! Magazine brings you its computerized rankings system which takes into account a fighters strength of opponent, strength of performance, and frequency of activity.

Cole Konrad’s tournament win over Neil Grove launched him into our top 20; Konrad jumps from #40 to #19 in our Heavyweight Rankings, while Grove falls from #32 to #53.

Zack Makovsky outworked Ed West en route to the Bellator Bantamweight Championship and held tight to the #5 spot in our Bantamweight Rankings. West’s performance actually moves him up one spot from #18 to #17. In the night’s only other bantamweight bout, Danny Tims enters our rankings at #36 following his loss.

In the night’s third televised fight, Ryan Thomas dropped a decision to unranked prospect “Judo” Jim Wallhead; Thomas drops from #104 to #120 in our Welterweight Rankings.

In undercard action, former Mizzou wrestler Michael Chandler slides from #51 to #38 in our Welterweight Rankings with a win over unranked Chris Page and veteran Rudy “Bad News” Bears moves from #116 to #88 in our Middleweight Rankings after his KO win over unranked Chad Reiner. In a rematch of their July fight on a regional card, Eric Marriott and Ryan Roberts switched places in our Featherweight Rankings; Marriott jumps from #50 to #28, and Roberts falls from #28 to #50. The only other movement in the rankings came from Brian Davidson, who moves from #70 to #67 in our Featheweight Rankings after his KO win over unranked Shane Hutchinson.
