Rankings

At FIGHT! Magazine, we believe there is a need for a completely objective and unbiased ranking system for fighters to replace the myriad subjective rankings that have become skewed, in many instances, by fighter popularity. In an effort to address this issue FIGHT! Magazine brings you its computerized rankings system which takes into account a fighters strength of opponent, strength of performance, and frequency of activity.

There wasn’t a whole lot of action in the rankings following Bellator 24 – Hector Lombard stayed put at #21 in our Middleweight Rankings after crushing unranked “Whisper” Goodman. It’s likely that Lombard is better than his ranking indicates but he needs stiffer competition to prove it.

Eddie Sanchez dropped from #36 to #55 in our Heavyweight Rankings following his loss to unranked Neil Grove. Grove will appear in our rankings following his next Bellator fight. Veteran fighter Yves Edwards moves from #54 to #36 in our Featherweight Rankings while Luis Palomino drops from #24 to #47 with the decision loss.

FIGHT! does not currently rank female fighters but we are diligently gathering information and preparing to roll out rankings for women in the not-too-distant future.
