The speculation never stops!

People keep asking me what my plans are, they have read things all over the internet about my future with the UFC and how I am firing my coaching staff. So I thought I would address the rumors and my upcoming plans.

NO – I have not lost my UFC contract.

NO – I have not fired my coaching staff.

NO – I am not going to step down and fight for smaller organizations.

The loss last month was tough, but life goes on. People need to remember that although I have been fighting since 2001, I have only been training with a coaching staff for a year and a half. I have made great strides during that time, as well as faced some setbacks. My training will continue and we are looking at visiting some of the larger camps for additional training and strategy for my next fight. I have a lot to learn and am hoping to have everything straightened out before I enter the cage next time.

So no worries, I am not going anywhere!

kidpeligro who are you kidding? unlike kimbo he already has a ground game its called wrestling, it may not get a submission, but there is more than one way to win in mma.

it is good that you are going to try other camps. i'm sure your camp is great, but it is always good to get outside and fresh perspectives on training. all the great fighters from world renowned camps do it too. hopefully you will get a win in your next fight!

well houston could start off by leaving that muay thai gym he is at that has zero ground game. mick doyle is nothing but a show, try coming to the real mma gym in omaha. mid america martial arts, where every fighter besides houston to fight in the ufc out of omaha trains at.

i have trained at doyles and i agree with the dude that says doyle is all show..he might have the credientals but not the coaching to take a fighter to the next level..houston is a good example..houston will never go far with continuing to train at doyles

keep on keeping on houston. diverse yourself and where you train at. take a trip to boston with delagrotte. then mix it up over in the west with team quest in san diego. then finally head on over to aka and see what those mhuy thai boys are doing down there. alves wins and he dont focus on the ground game...
