Pat Curran closed out Bellator’s Season 2 Lightweight Tournament with his second straight close decision and Megumi Fujii did what she was supposed to do at Bellator 21 in Hollywood, Fla.

Megumi Fujii def. Sarah Schneider by TKO (strikes) at 1:58 of Round 3.
Mike Hayes def. Steve Banks by unanimous decision.
Zach Makovsky def. Eric Luke by submission (kimura) at 4:28 of Round 2.
Brian Eckstein def. Mitchell Chamale by unanimous decision.
Moyses Gabin def. Chris Boffil by submission (rear naked choke) at 4:41 of Round 1.
Luis Palomino def. Jose Figueroa by unanimous decision.


FIGHT! Rankings

Pat Curran entered Bellator’s circular cage unranked and left with the #31 spot in FIGHT!’s Lightweight Rankings and a title shot in Season 3. Toby Imada saw his stock fall from #34 to #45 with the controversial loss.

Moyses Gabin enters our Welterweight Rankings at #64 with his victory over Chris Boffi, Zach Makovsky grabs the #13 spot in our Bantamweight Rankings by defeating Eric Luke, and Luis Palomino enters our Featherweight Rankings at #22 with his victory over Jose Figueroa.


  1. the imada curran fight what the heck are the judges watching? i reviewed the the fight three times. honestly it was 2 rounds for imada 1 for curran. something needs to be done about the judging. the same thing happend with the machida shogun 1, and vera couture just to name a couple of fights. too many boxing judges that are being used in these fights or not understanding mma or all of the above something seriously has to be done to revamp the judging for mma a boxing format does not work. thank you just concerned.
